What is Mangal Dosha?
Presence of Mars in any of the first, second, fourth, seventh, eight and twelfth houses from ascendant in a horoscope causes Mangal Dosha. It is assigned a lots of negative to have Mars in any of these positions . But all is not lost if the native has Mars in any of these 6 houses out of a total of 12 houses in the chart. In many cases, there is cancellation of this Dosha inspite of Mars in these houses. The same has to be assessed by a deep analysis of the chart itself. Even in the event of Manglik Dosha being actually present in the native's horoscope, there are Vedic remedies which can be practiced to lessen the effects of Mars on married life.
